  1. Containers- nuts, cocoons, urns, sarcophagus- that don’t contain anything… silent, still, simple closed forms. The glazing doesn’t reinforce the form or break it up, it just lays on the surface as a separate composition. The tree trunk forms and the large globes in the hammocks are the most interesting to me as they don’t scream Pottery. The design of the show (the woven rug and raked rock areas) made for an almost commercial/consumer environment. As sculpture not so good, but as a clay pottery retrospective great!
